GC-II
Iodine
Impregnated Activated Carbon
GC
II is a bituminous coal-based activated carbon that is
impregnated with Iodine. This carbon is particularly
effective for the removal of radioactive methyl iodide from
nuclear fission products and mercury vapor from air streams.
It
is available in a variety of mesh sizes as well as in coconut
shell base.

**100
lbs. of GC-II activated carbon will typically adsorb 6-12lbs.
of mercury vapors under ideal operating conditions.
Standard
packaging is in 200lb. drums. Other packaging is available
upon request.

Caution!
Wet activated carbon removes oxygen from air causing
a severe hazard to workers inside carbon vessels. Confined
space/low oxygen procedures should be put in place before
any entry is made. Such procedures should comply with all
applicable local, state and federal guidelines.
